2022 November Cat

Can I be honest with you? I don’t like this square. I am more of a romantic. I like pinks and roses and gentle swirling ethereal fluff. I despise it when my cat sticks his butt in my face.

But this square is real life with a cat. And I think most of you will appreciate the humor behind it (Hah! “behind”).

We have had one cat square for each month, plus a bonus square released for my birthday in September. In December I will also be adding the all-in-one blanket pattern (does not use the bonus square) and an all-in-one Love mini-series blanket pattern (uses March, June, September, and December squares) to the eBook.

The all-in-one blankets allow you to crochet the blanket without worrying about joining squares afterwards. This is most handy for the mosaic technique so you don’t have to cut your yarn until you’re finished the whole row (which is 3 squares wide). Plus, the envelope border to cover the tails can be annoying to add to all 12 squares and makes the final project much larger. Doing the blanket all at once eliminates that step.

These all-in-one blanket patterns will only be available in the eBook. They won’t be posted for individual sale.

I do have another surprise for you but you’ll need to wait a few days. Any guesses as to what it is?

It is not an announcement of next year’s theme because I still haven’t decided. Yikes, eh?!

I have too many options. It’s the same problem with going yarn shopping. I just want it all!

But, back to the subject at hand: this cat’s butt.

Like the other squares in this set, the charts are 81 x 81 for the interlocking technique and 77 x 77 for the mosaic technique. The mosaic version does not have the interlocking dots all over it and it does not need the locked-in border lines.

Once again I am thankful for my testing team who helps make me look good: CarolinevdB, cyncitycrochet, Maja Serec, & Marjolijn Cuypers.

I made a small error when crocheting my square. I only noticed it after I edited a bunch of photos and created my poster and video, GROAN! I fixed it and took a few more photos but the cat wasn’t around so I kept the photos with my cute kitty even though there’s a mistake. Hope you’ll forgive me!

There’s no sound in the video, and truly it is just a slide show of still shots.
