April Dog & my 4th Designaversary
It's going to be a good month
Table of Contents
April Dog is a wrinkly pug
Our fourth dog square of the year is now available. I had posted a few teasers this month so there were some of you who had already guessed ‘pug’. Read more at https://ashleeslint.com/2024/03/31/april-dog-the-pug-in-the-2024-a-year-of-dogs-series/
I haven’t drawn all the squares yet, so feel free to make your requests and suggestions known!
The 2024: A Year of Dogs eBook has been updated on Ravelry and Etsy. Etsy-purchasers have been emailed.
It’s that time! It’s time to celebrate my fourth year of designing crochet patterns! I’m still in awe, to be honest.
Now, if you’ve been following me for any length of time you’ll probably know that my dreams tend to get a bit too big for me to chew (how’s that for a malapropism?).
I’ve had to dial back the excitement a bit and this month’s plan is a bit less than you all deserve. If I was Oprah I could give you all a free car to go along with your next pattern purchase but alas, ‘tis only me.
I’ve got plans for giveaways, games, and new patterns. I’ve also got to get my taxes done this month - there’s never enough time to do everything I want to do. So cross your fingers for me and send me all your energy.
I won’t be sending a million newsletters this month because that’s way too spammy. Instead you’ll have to check out my Designaversary Landing Page. I will remind you about that page in two weeks when I send another newsletter.
There is still time to get 2020 Father’s Day Throw at a 50% discount. The special newsletter promotion changes mid-month.
This all-in-one blanket was originally published after we finished the 2020 Father’s Day CAL. That Crochet-A-Long was a series of scarves or panels that you could join together to make a blanket. This blanket pattern is written so that you don’t need to join anything at the end, it’s all in one piece.
Thank you!
I’m so glad to have this online community of support. Thank you for all the likes and shares and comments. Every purchase makes me smile and my heart soars when I see your finished blankets (and wall hangings and loose squares and scarves, etc).
Love and hugs,
Ashlee

It’s still winter here but spring is coming soon!
Personal Update
March has been a crazy month for us here. We’re adjusting to my husband’s new work schedule (he’s gone half the week). We had the big birthday for Remington (7). And then I was just recovering from a migraine when we got a surprise pediatric cardiology appointment for Alice (9).
She had heart surgery as a baby and is fine now. But they semi-regularly do an EEG and Echocardiogram on her to make sure it stays fine as she grows. It was supposed to be yearly for the first 5 years and then less frequent after that but this was only our 4th appointment since the surgery at 7 months old.
We get a letter with 1-2 weeks notice and drop everything to make sure we get there.
It’s actually quite boring, but it can be quite anxiety-provoking. And the results were all good again. Her heart is working as expected with two murmurs doing opposite things.
Of course my two littlest ones promptly got sick when we got home. Melody (4) and Remington are both feeling better now but we will probably be hearing the sniffles and coughs for a few more days.

I came prepared but didn’t actually get much crocheting done that day.
