A new month means a new dog square!

When I drew this month’s dog square I was thinking of a Shih Tzu but someone guessed a Lhasa Apso and honestly they both work!

I have not been spending much time in my garden so the weeds are crazy but I thought it might be green enough to use as a nice background for my new dog squares. I also tried to get some more pics of my old June Dog squares.

New YouTube Video

I recorded this video in September 2023. I cannot believe I let it take up space on my phone for so long! But I really need that space back (for secret projects on the go!) so I had to get this video edited and out there. If you’ve used a yarn swift before you won’t learn anything new here (although you could skip to 6 minutes in and watch my cute kitten at the end) but if you’d like to see me turn a hank of yarn into a cake of yarn, give it a watch.

Birthday Season

August is the busy celebration season for my household. First we have my husband’s birthday, then my youngest daughter’s birthday, then my oldest daughter’s birthday, and then our wedding anniversary. My birthday is in September so it’s part of the same season for us. Our son is the lone one out in March.

I’m really trying hard to get a stuffed toy made for each of my girls (every year they ‘order’ one for their birthdays). But, no, Melody’s ‘bunny’ is not for sale. How could anyone think this mess was for sale? Spoiler, they don’t. It’s not a real offer. These scammers get so annoying.

My eldest, Alice, is sad that the dog for her birthday month is this weird looking hairy thing. She prefers the poodle from June. 🤣 She wants a Sonic the Hedgehog stuffy and I haven’t started yet. I was also trying to get this unicorn blanket crocheted for her but I warned her it wouldn’t be done in time for her birthday.

I’m sorry about the super annoying ad in the last newsletter. The preview looked promising but the reality was a total let-down. I won’t be including any more ads going forward. They’re just stupid and annoying and not worth the extra $2.

I’ve paid for my current newsletter host (Beehiiv) up to September. I’ll likely be switching newsletter hosts before the renewal time. I do hope it won’t affect anyone but me but if anyone has any recommendations I’m all ears!
