I’m really excited to finally get this series started!

Honestly, it took me months after publishing Beloved B to even decide that I would go ahead with doing the rest of the alphabet and then life continually interrupted the process.

Beloved A is only our 2nd pattern in the new Beloved Alphabet series but I promise to do my best at getting the rest of the alphabet out as quickly as I’m able. (Click these links to learn more about either the individual pattern or the write-up I did for this new series).

I truly am so thankful for each and every one of you. Whether you’ve purchased every single pattern or have been lurking and waiting for years or maybe you’ve just discovered me - I’m glad you’re here! ❤️ 

I’ve heard from a few people that 2024 is shaping up to be kind of terrible. And I would have to agree. 😅 I can only hope the 2nd half of the year brings a little more stability. I’ve read of so many yarn shops closing, designers quitting, indie dyers shutting down. I’ve heard of injuries, sicknesses, bankruptcies. Not to mention the world beyond us (please don’t mention it, I just can’t take anymore news).

I’d love to share more stories about my life, my kids, our struggles, our joys, but honestly, I’m just too exhausted to narrate anything more today. I don’t want anyone to think I’m just a whiner - so I avoid talking about the struggles (just in the last 6 weeks we have had car trouble, neighbor trouble on both sides, car trouble again, house trouble, and weather trouble).

Finding a Smile

Today, I smiled when I saw that my flowers had started blooming. My garden is completely overrun with weeds - they grow even though the water and the hail and the cold spring has stunted the plants I tried growing on purpose. 🤣 I can see that our potatoes are growing well and that’s the plant I rely on the most. Pumpkins and cucumbers would be my other preferred plants and I’m really hoping those cucumber babies grow a bit bigger but the pumpkins are looking good!
