June Dog is a fluffy, posh poodle!

I am pleased to present our next dog square! This fluffy, posh poodle has a moderately large bouffant (I had to learn about hairstyles this month!).

Seahorse Dance Update

On May 18, just a few days after my last newsletter was sent out, I updated Seahorse Dance.

There is now an adjusted, solid overlay mosaic crochet option to go along with the original interlocking crochet and original overlay mosaic crochet patterns.

I also gave the original files a facelift. The charts are formatted better and I’ve added more pictures.

Personal Update

It’s finally warm here in Saskatchewan and I’ve been spending hours getting my garden ready for our short growing season. In my area (Canada zone 3b) we generally have 113 days from the last spring frost to the first fall frost and then it’s winter again.

I’ve only been gardening for a few years and there’s so much to learn (which I really, really love!) so my creative passion is currently not 100% focused on my crochet.

I still have a lot to do!

We do a pretty large garden (and we have two other garden sections elsewhere in the yard too) and it requires a lot of time and energy during this quick summer season. Closing Notes

I’m always ending with a thank you because I’m always thankful to open my newsletter app and see that I have people in my corner. It’s so encouraging to know that there are people our there who care about my art, who care about me, who want to see more of my art.

I’m a creative soul, with too many exciting ideas and never enough time. So I’ve tried to avoid adding big projects to my list until I can catch up with all the other things I’ve been meaning to catch up on (like updating patterns to have a solid mosaic crochet option, updating the charts to be more legible, getting better photos of old patterns, making my website more user-friendly, etc).

My goals this year are to do a fabulous job with my series of dog squares and start publishing the rest of the alphabet in the Beloved Alphabet Baby Blanket series (so far there is only a “Beloved B” for Baby).

But, I’ve also got a few other designs that need to see the light of day, so we’ll have to wait and see what this year brings!
