May Dog is ready!
Do you have a favorite dog square yet?

What do we think about colorful dog squares? I used Eva’s & CynCityCrochet’s squares for this layout.

May Dog is here!
April has been an absolute whirlwind for me. I’m really looking forward to taking a breath soon!
March Dog used to be my favorite but I’m also really loving how May Dog turned out. I do love the art side of my business - stretching my skills and trying ‘hard’ things is a great confidence boost when it works!
Looking ahead to June Dog: I’ve saved quite a few progress shots from my drawing process because I’ve had a few questions about that (sometimes with thinly veiled suggestions that I’m not actually drawing these designs).
Those who have purchased the “2024: A Year of Dogs” eBook on Ravelry or Etsy should have this new pattern available to them by now. I published the individual square to Ravelry but Etsy is having some sort of connectivity problem so I’ll have to try again tomorrow.
It’s so amazing seeing how quickly some people are able to crochet the square after publishing it but don’t feel bad if that’s not you! Everyone works at a different pace and has a different schedule. The crochet patterns will be patiently waiting for you whenever you get to them, I promise.
I created two short videos showing my progress with these dog squares (one video for each technique - interlocking is shown below, see mosaic here). We’d love to see a progress shot of your dog squares! Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, wherever you share about these sorts of things, let me know! I’ll compile a list and next time I send an email I’ll include all the links so we can spy on each other - I mean SUPPORT each other! ;)
Tonight is the deadline for getting the Bingo entries in and for entering the Rafflecopter for the grand prize or any of the runner-up prizes. I’ll send another quick email after all the prizes have been awarded - keep an eye on your inbox in case you’re a winner!
I’ve debated doing a live draw for those entries but the problem is my kids. They are always around and my husband is gone (he works out of town 3 days a week). They are noisy, they are distracting, and even when they’re sleeping there’s always a chance they’ll wake up crying. This last week has been excessive for wake-ups; I’m not sure what’s going on except Alice (9) did grow two new molars and the other two said they’ve been having bad dreams lately.
So, being live seems a bit risky for me.
Advertising Content
I debated whether to accept this advertising offer into my newsletter. I didn’t create a newsletter for the purposes of earning money from companies who want to get seen by more people. And I don’t seem to earn much when I do allow the ads into my newsletter anyway. But it’s easy enough to scroll past. So please do scroll past this if you’re not interested. And if you absolutely hate having ads let me know - if enough people agree, I’ll just stop. The extra $6 is not worth alienating my crochet-besties over!
